Anthony Beauvillier scores the OT winner in Game Six against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Fans celebrate the goal, which ends up being the final goal at Nassau Coliseum, by throwing beer cans and other Islanders memorabilia on the ice.

The Islanders open UBS Arena, the team’s brand new, state-of-the-art arena at Belmont Park. The opening of the new building marks a new era in Islanders history, as well as the first arena built for and owned by the team.

The Islanders beat the New Jersey Devils 4-2 for their first win at UBS Arena. Zach Parise’s first goal as an Islander proves to be the game-winner, while Noah Dobson, Andy Greene and Jean-Gabriel Pageau also score in the historic win.
